This program introduces students to Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Oxy Fuel Thermal Cutting technologies. The combination of virtual technologies and real lab experience will provide students with 80 hours of welding experience.
In addition, students will learn to read and interpret basic blueprints commonly found in manufacturing.
Lastly, students who successfully complete the program will receive an Intro to GMAW and Welding Safety certificate from Lincoln Electric.

- Identifying the elements of programmable logic controllers.
- Analyzing logic circuits and develop sequence programs.

This course will provide foundational information and develop hands on skills in the areas of Mechanical, Electrical, and Control Technology.
Students will develop competencies to operate and maintain pneumatics, electricity, sensors, actuators, and controls.
Utilizing real-world automation devices students will also gain additional skills in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).
Upon completion of the labs and final assessment students will receive an Introduction to Mechatronics certificate from Festo.

- Building, testing and troubleshooting basic electrical circuits
- Reading basic electrical circuit diagrams
These courses have been specifically developed to give students the knowledge and skills required to enable them to work safely and effectively with electricity.
The lab components of the training offer the student the opportunity to build, test and troubleshoot DC circuits and examine the operating voltages and currents related to proper circuit operation.
Technicians will use various instruments to make circuit measurements and calculations. Upon completion of the labs and final assessment students will receive a Fundamentals of Electricity – DC certificate from Festo.

- Calculating the amount of materials/stock needed for projects
- Identifying and describing materials and stock used
- Selecting the correct materials and stock based on the bill of materials
This program introduces students to the tools and processes used in maintenance and fabrication shops.
The use of virtual reality technology will allow students to use the tools and practice techniques in a safe environment.
In addition, students will learn to read, interpret basic blueprints, create drawings and BOM’s as well as selecting and calculating project material needs.
Lastly, students who successfully complete the program will receive a Fabrication I certificate from Lincoln Electric.
